Terms & Conditions

Fees

  1. Admission Fee along with 1 month training fee should be paid in advance at the time of enrollment.
  2. Monthly fee should be paid for any given month in advance before 5th of that month.
  3. Monthly fee is collected on the basis of a calendar month and not on 30 days basis.

  

  • Test fee should be paid at least one session prior to the testing day.
  • Life Memebership should be obtained within 4 months from the date of approval of the erollment. Failing which the validity of the enrollment will automatically become obsolete.
  • Any fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Uniform

  • The uniform (dogi) and especially the belt are to be treated with respect. The uniform should be kept clean and neat at all times. 
  • Female students may wear a plain white T-shirt beneath the Karate jacket. 
  • For minor students please be sure to put your child’s name on the inside waistband of the pants and on the inside collar of the top. 
  • Bushido Karate Budokan and Karate Kokusai Budokan patch must be affixed on the dogi in the appropriate location.
  • The jacket, when tightened around the waist with the belt, must be of a minimum length that covers the hips, but must not be more than three-quarters thigh length. Jacket ties must be tied. Jackets without ties may not be used.  
  • The jacket sleeves must be no longer than the bend of the wrist and no shorter than halfway down the forearm. Jacket sleeves may not be rolled up. 
  • The trousers must be long enough to cover at least two thirds of the shin and must not reach below the anklebone. Trouser legs may not be rolled up.  

Hair, Nail, Jewellery...

        Hair

  • Students must keep their hair clean and cut to a length that does not obstruct. Hachimaki (headband) will not be allowed. Hair slides are prohibited, as are metal hairgrips. Ribbons, beads and other decorations are prohibited. One or two discreet rubber bands on a single pony tail is permitted.
  • Students may use approved religiously mandated head-wear: A black plain fabric head scarf covering the hair, but not the throat area. 

       Nail

  • Students must keep their fingernails and toe nails trimmed to avoid injuries to themselves or the fellow students.

       Jewellery

  • Must not wear metallic or other objects like jewellery or watches, which might injure other students. 

       Teeth Braces

  • The use of metallic teeth braces must be approved by the Chief Instructor. 
  • The student/parents/guardians accept full responsibility for any possible injury.

       Eyewear

  • Spectacles and contact lens are forbidden while engaging in contact training.
  • Soft contact lens may be worn at student's own risk.

Parent's / Guardian's Responsibilities (for minor students)

  1. Please drop the students to the class and pick up after the class with instructor in-charge's knowledge to ensure the kid's safety.
  2. Always inform the instructor in‐charge of any health issues that the student has. Inform the chief‐Instructor if the student has any behavioral issues.

Student's Responsibilities

  1. Be regular to the classes. Be punctual to the classes. Make sure that you keep your personal items safely.
  2. Change into your uniform promptly for class. Make sure the dojo is clean and safe for training. Follow all instructions and directions that are given by your Instructors.
  3. Do not involve in kumite (sparring) with anyone without the supervision of the instructor in‐charge.
  4. Do not try the Karate techniques on anyone. Do not teach Karate to anyone without Branch Cho’s written permission.

Photographs & Videos

  • By enrolling your kid/ yourself into the Bushido Karate Budokan, you give full permission to Bushido Karate Budokan take photographs, video and voice recording of your child/yourself. 
  • You grand full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations (editing, copying, exhibiting, publishing or distributing) 
  • You waive your right to inspect or approve the finished product) for fundraising, publicity or other purposes within an unrestricted geographic area to help achieve the Bushido Karate Budokan's aims.
  • Additionally, you waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of your/your kid's images or recording.  


Things to know

Karate is for everyone and it is taught at ‘Bushido Karate Budokan’ at various intensities according to the student’s age, health,

requirement or interest.

Karate, basically a martial art is now practiced for various purposes and interests. Students may select one or more purpose according to their interest to let us design an appropriate training method that suit them. Students are allowed to change their options at any time in the future.


Health Benefits

Karate training at ‘Bushido Karate Budokan’ is a well‐balanced exercise program which naturally includes all kinds of exercises like aerobic, anaerobic, etc. So Karate could be practiced purely for its health benefits.

When Karate is practiced for health reasons there will be less or no injuries.


Self Defence

Karate, being a martial art, can be practiced for its self defense benefits. 

Low Impact: Less or no injuries.

High Impact: Possible accidental injuries.


Sports

Regular Local, National and International competitions are being held in various disciplines of Karate all over the world. So Karate could be practiced purely for sports reasons.

Katas: Less or no injuries.

Kumite: Possible accidental injuries. (Protective gears are used. The rules and regulations are very strict to ensure maximum safety of the players).


Martial Art 

Karate could be practiced at its extreme level as a pure Martial Art. (If minor, will be considered only after attaining the legal age of maturity).

High possibility for injuries.
